Primary responsibilities of the advanced manufacturing engineer
(Assembly) are related to development and launch management of
assembly processes for automotive driveline components for our
assembly plant, in our Manufacturing Complex in Silao, Guanajuato,
Mexico.


Your main accountabilities will be to:

* Responsible for manufacturing engineering activities associated
with assigned manufacturing area(s).
* Establish graphical control of functions and critical
processes; Monitor results and process capabilities based on
statistical processes to determine reliability in performance.
* Continuous improvement
* Implement advanced troubleshooting techniques that help improve
Scrap, FTQ, OEE, Warranty indicators, etc.
Manage the implementation of new processes or equipment.
* Administration of; Operating instructions, Spare parts,
Parameter monitoring, FMEA, process sheets.
* Participate in the acquisition of new technologies, equipment
and processes to achieve greater efficiency.
* Provide support to manufacturing.
* Develop detailed manufacturing plans for new programs that will
require new equipment or retool of existing equipment.
* Coordinate with Program Team and Plant Manufacturing to
determine available capacity and floor space.
* Research and develop new manufacturing processes and equipment
to improve current throughput, scrap / rework reduction, reduce cost,
improve quality and improve reliability.
* Work with prototype to confirm manufacturing estimates and test
proposed manufacturing processes.
* Collaborate with Product Engineering to determine most
effective product and process cost
* Develop Process Flow Diagram to be used as a reference for
supplier quoting.
* Conduct equipment certification and run-off.
* Coordinate equipment shipment, installation and launch.

We are looking for:
* Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Electromechanical
engineering, similar.
* Advanced level of english
* +5 years in Manufacturing Processes and Assembly Lines,
Management of New Projects in Automotive and /or Metalworking.
* Knowledge in development and control of manufacturing process.
Advanced techniques of problem solving, advanced knowledge and
applicable in Core Tools (APQP, DFMEA, PFMEA Control Plan, PPAP, SPC
and MSA), knowledge in Lean Manufacturing.
* Advanced Manufacturing Processes, GD&T, interpretation of
mechanical plans, Element Design, Mechanics, PLC, CNC, Mechanical and
Functional Tests.
* Functional competencies: Leadership, Decision-making skills,
Communication, Focusing on results and customer response, Problem
solving, Planning and organizational skills.
