Associate Finance Manager

What you will do
This role leads cost accounting activities within a manufacturing environment, leveraging strong SAP expertise to manage product costing, inventory control, manufacturing variances, and financial compliance, in close partnership with operations.

Subject Matter Expert: Serve as a trusted expert on material characteristics, MRO, and production processes, providing accurate operational knowledge to internal customers.

Product Cost Analysis: Own SAP ERP reporting, ensuring accurate cost roll-ups, inventory balances, and manufacturing/price variances. Provide key insights to leadership for annual roll-ups and cost accuracy.

Data Integrity & Reporting: Design, maintain, and analyze ERP and operational data to ensure effective reporting and seamless integration for finance analysts.

Process Improvement: Design and improve operational procedures to meet audit standards, enhance efficiency, and ensure compliance with internal and external requirements.

Team Leadership: Manage one direct report, providing guidance, oversight, and performance support.

Audit & Projects: Participate in annual audits and special projects, collaborating with internal teams and external auditors to maintain accurate historical records.

What you need
Required
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (Public Accounting or equivalent).

Experience: * Minimum 4+ years in Finance and Cost Accounting roles.

Proven experience in manufacturing environments with a solid background in General and Cost Accounting.

People Management: Previous experience managing direct reports.

Accounting Standards: Knowledge of Mexican accounting standards and U.S. GAAP.

Technical Skills: * Strong knowledge of SAP ERP.

Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Languages: Bilingual Spanish–English (Advanced level, minimum B2).
