Job Summary

This role is responsible for developing traditional and multimedia deliverables for Global Learning projects using different modality types (ILT,VILT,WBT, etc.) Learning Developers create/curate experiences (such as learning pathways) in our learning platforms (LXP/LMS) and maintain existing coursework as needed. Additionally, Learning Developers identify and recommend best practices on emerging industry trends/tools.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

- Develop content using industry standard development tools (such as Adobe Creative Suite, Articulate 360, Camtasia, CanStudios, Animation tools and standard Google Suite tools).
- Develop traditional and digital course materials and templates, including facilitator guides, participant workbooks, presentations, quick-reference guides, job aides, learning activities and learning assessments.
- Create and edit designs and multimedia assets including: learning experience assets (pathways/plans) characters/vectors/photos, logos, interactive PDFs, e-learning modules, videos, animations, podcasts, animated GIFs, and other deliverables.
- Recommend effective learning solutions to stakeholders, Learning Partners and Designers based on business goals and learner needs, balancing them with possible constraints - such as experience, time or budget.
- Create deliverables based on designs (storyboards, scripts, prototypes, etc.) and document development requirements and timelines using collaborative project planning tools.
- Use agile practices to collaborate in real time or submit content for review aligning to the internal review process with subject matter experts, Global Learning and other key stakeholders; implement feedback.
- Coordinate launch communications and develop assets with Global Learning, CBS Delivery, CBS Systems and other internal partners as needed
- Analyze learning survey results against benchmark standards with project team, and implement changes to create more effective and engaging learning experiences
- Troubleshoot and escalate, per procedure, technical issues and works with GIT and 3rd party providers as appropriate to resolve
- Communicate development expenses to Instructional Designers or Learning Partners such as voice over artist audio, translations, or artwork.
- Suggest best practices or improvements for consideration to enhance methodologies, tools, and templates.

Education/ Experience Requirements

- 2-4 years of learning development experience
- BA or other advanced degree in instructional design, graphic design, digital design, motion graphics, and illustration.
- Design Thinking, working with Agile Team practices and Project Management experience
- Development of learning solutions using the following industry tools: Articulate Storyline 360, Adobe Creative Suite, Google Suite.
- Experience creating elearning with quiz slides, interactions, variables, triggers, advanced actions, Text-To-Speech and branching scenarios.
- Experience creating animated videos using programs such as Animaker and Vyond.
- Experience with closed captioning and other skills that support accessibility needs.
- Familiarity with learning management systems.
- Experience creating podcasts, a plus.
- Experience with or desire to do occasional voice over work, a plus.
- Knowledge of instructional design methodologies desirable.

Areas of Skills

- Strong layout/design skills for assets like: slide decks, infographics, video, job-aids, GIFs.
- Strong graphic and image/vector manipulation skills using Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop.
- Strong ability to create custom digital artwork like logos, digital badges and characters.
- Strong audio/video skills using industry software such as Audition, Premiere Pro, and Camtasia.
- Strong elearning skills using Captivate and/or Articulate 360 (or similar software).
- Strong ability to create elearning modules from storyboard to develop intermediate SCORM packages.
- Ability to help troubleshoot SCORM package technical issues, a plus.
- Strong time management skills (using Smartsheets a plus) & working with tight deadlines.
- Strong ability to manage multiple and complex projects and adjusting priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to create and curate learning pathways in learning experience programs.
- Ability to recommend alternatives for delivering learning solutions and improving existing projects.
- Ability to adhere to internal branding and technical guidelines.
- Some VR experience is a plus.
- Some HTML / Javascript is a plus.
